House Rules

Below is the hotel’s main house rules that apply at Hotel Mille Colonnes in Leuven. We ask you to respect and accept these rules.

General rules:

  • Follow all instructions from hotel staff related to house rules. You can report complaints to management.
  • We respect your privacy, but we are authorized to enter your room in the event of “non-compliance with our house rules.”
  • It is not allowed to light candles due to fire safety. The security system will be activated immediately.
  • In case of fire, stay calm. Report the fire at the reception and/or press the nearest fire alarm.
  • In case of a general fire alarm, leave the building immediately.
  • A valid identification must be shown at check-in. Check-in is allowed from the age of 21. Minors must always be accompanied by a parent/guardian (minimum age 25).
  • It is mandatory to present a valid identification. If the room is reserved for two people, both must show a valid identification.
  • It is not allowed to receive unregistered or other hotel guests in the room. If other guests are found in the room, you will be asked to leave the hotel immediately.
  • Cameras are installed at various locations within the hotel. Anyone present in our hotel agrees to be recorded. In the event of a disaster and/or incident, these recordings may be shown to authorities as supporting material.
  • Found items should be handed in at the reception.
  • Hotel Mille Colonnes is not responsible for the loss or theft of your belongings.
  • The management, owner of this location, and/or persons working for the hotel cannot be held liable for any injury and/or material or immaterial damage that visitors to the location may suffer.

It is prohibited to:

  • Use emergency exits as normal entrances and exits
  • Take hotel property outside the building. If hotel property is intentionally damaged, you may be held responsible for repair and/or replacement costs.
  • Consume, use, trade, or carry narcotics.
  • Use and/or carry laughing gas during your visit to our hotel. If laughing gas is found on the room, you will be asked to leave the hotel immediately.
  • Play loud music or make noise after 22:00 in the room and public areas.
    Smoke in the room and public areas. If smoking is detected in the room, a fine of €275 will be charged.
  • Hang clothes or other items outside the window.
  • Use the room for activities other than accommodation.
  • Bring pets to the hotel.Bring pets with a shoulder height of over 40 cm. to the public areas of the hotel, or to the specifically selected hotel rooms.
  • Spread confetti on your hotel room. If we find this, we will charge you €40 for cleaning costs.
  • Leave your room more polluted than is reasonable. In normal use, there may be a few scraps, crumbs, and a piece of paper on the floor.
  • For situations that exceed normal use, we will charge you €25 for cleaning costs.
  • Extend your stay on your own initiative. If you want to extend your stay, you can do so in consultation with our reception and at the applicable rate.
  • Check out before 12:00. For every half hour you stay on the room, we will charge you €25.

Cancellation conditions

Cancellations can be made free of charge up to one day in advance, after that the first day of your stay will be charged. Payment can be made by credit card, iDeal, Bancontact in advance or on site, also present in the hotel bancontact, cash payments also possible.
